Our Before/after school program aims to complement school activities rather than supplement them. Since the children have been in school all day, our before/after school program's environment will provide a more relaxed atmosphere. We offer activities in areas such as music, crafts, cooking, science, drama, physical activity, reading, and assistance with homework, creative writing, language, outdoor play and occasional field trips. The program offers a great deal of freedom of choice, while encouraging and expecting the children to take responsibility for the care and clean up of materials they use. This approach allows individual needs to be met, and promotes the development of decision-making skills and a sense of responsibility. Our teachers take a positive approach to the child's needs, giving praise and building a child's sense of worth.
